Vulernability Assessment Penetration Testing

vulnerability assessment and penetration testing

The Application Vulnerability Assessment and Penetration Testing (Appication VAPT), is an assessment procedure conducted by our security experts on your applications or websites to identify possible vulnerabilities that could lead to cyber attack by the cyber criminals.

We deliver accurate and timely results for your Application vulnerabilities, it allows you to manage a prioritized list of identified vulnerabilities in your applications or websites and understand how to fix them which makes you proactively secure. We provide you with actionable recommendations to ensure complete remediation.

vulnerability assessment

A web application vulnerability assessment is a systematic review of finding security weaknesses in a website or your business application. Then we evaluate on the identified suspicion or any known vulnerabilities, assigns severity levels to those vulnerabilities based on the impact that could could cause, and provide remediation or mitigation, if and whenever needed.

A vulnerability can be defined in two ways:
1. A bug in code or a flaw in software design that can be exploited to cause harm. Exploitation may occur via an authenticated or unauthenticated attacker.
2. A gap in security procedures or a weakness in internal controls that when exploited results in a security breach.

Penetration Testing

Once the threats and vulnerabilities have been evaluated, the penetration testing will address the risks identified throughout the environment. The penetration testing will be appropriate for the complexity and size of an organization. All locations of sensitive data; all key applications that store, process or transmit such data; all key network connections; and all key access points should be included. The penetration testing will attempt to exploit security vulnerabilities and weaknesses found throughout the environment, attempting to penetrate both at the network level and key applications.

The goal of penetration testing is to determine if unauthorized access to key systems and files can be achieved. If access is achieved, the vulnerability should be corrected and the penetration testing re-performed until the test is clean and no longer allows unauthorized access or other malicious activity.
